Understanding Ben Hogan's Golf Swing By Matt Christian



This a unique photo of Ben Hogan because he's in a neutral or slight draw position at impact vs he's normally in a cut position in many pictures, that's why this is my favorite

My mentor Paul Bertholy described the right arm at impact should be bent like a dogs hind leg as you can see above

Note

1. Right Shoulder Plane 
2. Hips and shoulders synced and opening 25-35 approximate more importantly they are SYNCED
3. Right Elbow bent and under the left arm
4. Wrists have not prematurely broken at impact, they are stable for face control
5. He's attacking towards the golf ball which is opposite of amateurs

I personally use this image in my head when hitting balls sometimes and the results are amazing, good things happen when you think of this image
