2015 Valspar Championship Results (Winner: Jordan Speith)

Jordan putted his way on the final round to make the playoff, but more importantly he putted his way to victory...

His ball striking was very good as well, but it left him many times throughout the week and when it did his short game was there to manage the damage.

I've met Jordan a couple of times as he played with a student of mine that was a former PGA Tour Winner and now is a member of the Champions Tour and I can say that Jordan is as nice and cool as advertised. He is easy to root for and he's one of the great new leaders of the game.

What do I like best about Jordan's swing?

He has great posture every week which is hard to have through fatigue both mentally and physically. The main thing about his actual swing though is that his body and club seem to always be in sync.

The one thing that hurts his swing sometimes is that he sometimes will pull up and out through the shot which causes his lead arm to break out away from his body which can cause a push and pull.

Putting:
The thing about his putting that makes him so great is that he hits his putts more solid than any other player on the Tour IMO. His stroke puts a tremendous amount of pressure into the ball with very little effort. His forward roll of the ball seems to be much faster than the rest of the players.

Pitching:
Jordan  uses a good blend of arms and wrists in his pitching. He hits these shots so solid as well and is IMO very underrated with his incredible wedge play around the greens and also distance wedges

Jordan lacks some of the big power that the elite long hitters have, but he still has good power and has a great all around game and he gets better in a tournament when the time is right
