Top 5 Golf Fitness Exercises On The PGA Tour elitegolfperformance.net
Just like the golf swing there are many philosophies and ways to make it work for the athlete.
However, some exercises are more popular than others. The classic isometric lifts are long gone and the reason why in the past so many Tour players steered away from iso lifting were it lead to tight ans tuck together muscles that lead to poor performance on the course.
The reason so many players train now is not really that it makes the feel better, but #1 is because they play on the course better. If you are training properly the golfer will feel it working in their swing naturally within two weeks. Which in turn leads to more confidence and the desire to do more and more to build the machine.
DO and or add these 5 exercises three times per week for. Do the amount of reps and the time that's best suited for your fitness level. Every golfer should be using these exercises below
Stay away from heavy lifts, look for functional training in your area and go try the gym. There are so many great gyms now that can really help golfers improve on and off the course. Just make sure they are teaching functional training for athletes and you will be in good shape.
